Jonas Vingegaard Cykling is free to read. Running it is to be paid for by advertising and affiliate links to bookmakers with a Danish licence. Here we explain openly how this works, how to recognise an ad and why it does not affect what we write.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a link to a commercial partner. If you click it and, for example, open an account with the partner, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and you do not get worse terms for arriving from our site. We only work with bookmakers licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden), and we refer to such a partner as “our partner”.
How to recognise ads
- Ads and banners are labelled “Ad” with an 18+ age limit and are kept visually separate from the articles.
- Links to a partner go through an internal redirect on our own domain starting with /go/. This lets us count clicks, and the partner’s address does not appear directly in the page code.
- Ad links are technically marked as sponsored (rel="sponsored"), so search engines can see that they are advertising.
- No ads are shown on our legal pages, such as this page, the privacy policy and the responsible gambling page.
As of 25 October 2026 we have not yet chosen a partner, so clicking a banner only leads to a neutral page.
Ads never affect the facts
A partner has no influence on our articles, results or figures and does not see content before it is published. Facts come from the race organisers, the UCI, ProCyclingStats and established media. Our pages on odds and betting contain no real odds, no tips and no guarantees. How we work is explained in our editorial policy.
