Jonas Vingegaard Cykling writes about a professional cyclist, so accurate information is at the heart of our work. Here we explain where our information comes from, how we check it, how data is updated and what we do when we get something wrong. The policy applies to every page, including those about odds and betting.
Sources: official data first
Results, placings, stage wins and race programmes are checked against the race organisers’ own websites, the UCI and ProCyclingStats. We use Wikipedia only for background and never as the sole source. Stories, quotes and news are based on established Danish media such as DR, TV 2, B.T. and Ekstra Bladet – always with the source named, for example “according to B.T.”.
When sources disagree, we follow the official count and mention the difference if it matters. One example: Danish Wikipedia has counted four stage wins for Vingegaard at the 2026 Giro d’Italia, while ProCyclingStats, the team and English Wikipedia have five. We write five. If something cannot be confirmed, we leave it out or say clearly who is behind it. Estimates, for example of salary, are always presented as estimates with source and year.
Automatic data updates
His next race, latest race, UCI world ranking and season figures are updated automatically and carry a date, for example “as of 22 October 2026”. Anything else describing the current situation is dated, while historical results are stated plainly. We never present a race programme the team has not published as official. Times are given in Danish time.
Automation can fail, and a race can change its route or schedule at short notice. If something matters to you, check the official source as well.
Privacy and sensitive subjects
About Jonas Vingegaard’s family and health we only write what he, those close to him or credible media have made public. We give his place of residence at town level at most and never publish addresses, schools or other private details. On doping we write only documented facts and his own statements – no insinuations and no forum speculation.
Corrections
If we make a mistake, we correct it as quickly as possible on every page where it appears. Wrong results, dates and placings are dealt with first. If you have found an error, write to us via our contact page, ideally with a link to an official source. We read every message.
Separating advertising from editorial content
The site is funded by advertising. Ads are labelled “Ad” and kept visually separate from the articles. Advertisers and partners have no influence on what we write or which results we publish. Our pages on odds and betting contain no real odds, no tips and no guarantees. Read more on our advertising and affiliate links page.
