Jonas Vingegaard is not racing today. His next race is the Tour de France 2027 (from 2 July 2027), which the team has called the main goal, although the programme is not official yet. Most recently he abandoned the Tour de France 2026 (19 July 2026). Below you can see how a race day with Jonas Vingegaard works, where his races are shown on Danish TV and how to follow him live.

Is Jonas Vingegaard racing today?

The answer sits at the top of this page and updates automatically: the cards show whether he is racing today, which race and stage it is, his latest result and his next race. As of 25 October 2026 his 2026 season is over. On 17 August 2026 Visma | Lease a Bike announced that he would not race again this year after breaking his collarbone in the Tour de France crash on 19 July, so there is no race on his schedule before 2027.

The team has called the 2027 Tour de France the main goal for next season. The full programme with the spring stage races has not been announced, so any dates for his first race of 2027 that you see elsewhere are not confirmed by the team. ProCyclingStats already lists the 2027 Tour in his programme, but that is a provisional entry, not an official announcement. Once his first races are confirmed, they go into Jonas Vingegaard's race schedule and into the cards on this page.

Jonas Vingegaard race today: how a race day works

Vingegaard is a stage racer, and almost all his race days are stages in week-long or three-week races. A Grand Tour such as the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia or Vuelta a España has 21 stages over three weeks with two rest days, while a one-week race such as Paris-Nice or the Volta a Catalunya has seven or eight stages. One stage is raced each day, and the general classification is the sum of the times.

On a normal road stage the peloton usually rolls out in the late morning or around midday, with a short neutralised section through town before the real start. The finish is typically in the late afternoon. France, Italy and Spain are in the same time zone as Denmark, so the times the organisers publish are also Danish time – CET in winter (UTC+1) and CEST in summer (UTC+2), which covers the whole racing season from March to October. The exception is the opening days of the 2027 Tour de France in Britain, where clocks are one hour behind Denmark.

In an individual time trial riders start one by one, and the GC favourites go last – so Vingegaard sets off late in the day when he is near the top of the standings. In a team time trial the teams start one at a time, which is how Visma | Lease a Bike won stage 1 of the 2026 Tour in Barcelona. On mountain stages, where he usually makes the difference, the race is often decided on the final climb.

When does TV coverage start?

TV 2 and Eurosport normally show the decisive hours of a stage live, and on the big mountain stages coverage often begins well before the finale. Exact broadcast times change from day to day and depend on the length and terrain of the stage. Check the channels' published listings and the organiser's official timetable, which gives the start and expected finish. We never publish guessed broadcast times.

Where to watch Jonas Vingegaard in Denmark

In Denmark two broadcasters show most cycling: TV 2 with TV 2 Play, and Warner Bros. Discovery with Eurosport, Kanal 5, 6'eren and the HBO Max streaming service, where sport requires an add-on to the subscription. Who shows what depends on the race. The table is based on the official agreements as of 25 October 2026.

The Critérium du Dauphiné has been called the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes since 2026 but sits in the same package as the Tour. The Tour de France is the safest bet: TV 2 has extended its deal to 2030, and the EBU has since extended its agreement with organiser A.S.O. to 2032. The Giro causes the most confusion – TV 2 does not show it, so his 2026 Giro win could only be watched on Kanal 5, Eurosport 1 and HBO Max. After the stage you can check his result and the overall standings with the organiser or on ProCyclingStats; our own Jonas Vingegaard results page is updated from the same numbers. His team and Vingegaard himself on Instagram (@jonasvingegaard) post photos and short updates. Stay away from illegal streams: they break the rights holders' agreements and are often full of ads and harmful links. We only point to official channels.

What happens before 2027?

Until the team announces his programme, there are no race days to show. On 22 October 2026 Marc Reef of Visma | Lease a Bike told Cyclingnews that the 2027 Tour de France is the main goal. It starts on 2 July 2027 in Britain, with 71 km of time trialling and summit finishes on the Grand Colombier, Les Saisies and the Col du Portet. The last time he came back from a serious crash, in 2024, he finished second at the Tour and won a stage.
